Girl Power: K.Flay

This girl can flat out RAP. The first time I noticed her was with Zion I in the song Coastin' and now she's about to go on tour with Grieves and Budo for the "On the Rocks" Tour this fall/winter. Man, I wish I could go to one of the shows. Dying to see this girl on stage. Here are some videos worth watching kids.

The Epitome of Cool: Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan is one of those people I would've loved to be alive in the 60s for. Every picture I see of him inspires me to instantly listen to every song I have of his and watch every Youtube video I can find,  just to try to get into that mind. He made the wayfarer shades, the denim shirt, and the cavalier attitude things that exemplify "cool." And for that, we owe him a great deal of appreciation.

I'll Show You Grunge

90s Grunge. The beautiful derivative of Punk Rock that the late counterculture of the 90s lived on. The mainstream music community hated it, but Punk and Grunge hated them right back. Seattle was the birth place for bands like the Melvins, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mudhoney... Ahhh the legends. I love everything grunge stands for, the careless "I don't give a sh*t" attitudes and the rebellious spirit of the music. It is definitely one of the musical eras I wish I could have been a part of... The time when rock bands defied the mainstream money-making music, attracted a huge following around the world, and proved that good rock bands still existed.
